Pinned topic Image meta tag with absolute URL

‏2018-06-21T04:06:53Z | 8.5 graph image meta open portal tag websphere

Hi Team,

Did anyone tried to have the absolute URL on the image meta tag(for Open Graph support)?. The below configuration in the Web Content Viewer portlet creates the meta data with relative image URL.

meta.tag.name.1=og:image
meta.tag.attribute.1=property
meta.tag.content.element.1=<image element name>

Is there any way to append the protocol and the domain name to it?  I don't think we can use JS to achieve this as the web crawlers may ignore it.

Thanks,

Venkat

    your other option would be to either use a servlet filter, or pull the programmatically in the head.jsp

    thanks for the quick response Jim.

    I will pull the content image URL programatically in the head.jsp.

    You could add the following to your web content viewer configuration to get an absolute url.

    meta.tag.content.element.format.1=abs
