Pinned topic Installation of DB2 .NET Provider

‏2013-06-25T21:04:06Z | .net db2 ibm.data.db2.dll ibm_data_server_driver_package_win64_v10.5 provider

I am attempting to install DB2 .NET Provider on a Windows server.

I have downloaded 'ibm_data_server_driver_package_win64_v10.5.exe' from this location:

https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/iwm/web/preLogin.do?source=swg-idsdpds

Copied to Win Server 2008 R2. Running this extracts files including setup.exe to temp directory: \AppData\Local\Temp\2

Running setup.exe does not install files to expected directory: c:\Program Files\IBM\... (or anywhere that I can find).

I have also run setup /o from a command prompt. I am a local admin.

How is this installation supposed to work?

    Hello,

Invoking ibm_data_server_driver_package_win64_v10.5.exe will extract the needed files to the temp directory and invokes the installer automatically.
You can use ibm_data_server_driver_package_win64_v10.5.exe /o directly to launch a new installation.

Downloaded the image "ibm_data_server_driver_package_win64_v10.5.exe" from the above mentioned link  and tried the installation. It works fine.

Have attached a snapshot image of how it looks after invoking ibm_data_server_driver_package_win64_v10.5.exe.

To get this to run on my server I had to extract the files myself and run the IBM Data Server Driver Package (located in \image) directly.
