Pinned topic TDP Development

‏2013-07-02T06:19:07Z |

Hi,

I am developing TDP for TI C-Compiler V4.4.10.116 for NOS(BOSCH) with the processor as TMS570PSFC61A.

Can someone please guide me how to start with, and does anyone have the similar TDP for the same.

The processor identification is not enough to determine the TDP (this is the less inportant data in fact)

    The most important informations are:

the compiler tool chain and version (e.g. code composer studio 5)

the compiler and linker binary names (e.g. cl570.exe & lnk570.exe)

the debugger/simulator binary name (e.g. code composer studio itself)

TestRT version used (e.g TestRT v8.0.0.4)

the compiler and linker binary names --  cl470.exe & lnk470.exe

the debugger/simulator binary name -- code composer studio

TestRT version used --  TestRT V7.0.5.

          Hi Richard,

while compiling the source code i am getting an error saying:

TestRT attolcc1 - FATAL ERROR: Cannot open input file D:\yasmeen_KK\TDP_NOS\BOSCH\Unit_Testing\report\TTest_aug.i

Can you please guide me solving this error.

It seems the issue is in the error message !!!

can you check if this file exist and how it look like.

if it does not exist what is the previous step generating this file (normaly the preprocessing)

if the preprocesing does not work make sure the compiler is installed on the expected directory as declared into the TDP basic settings.

did you have a look at the basic setting and made some changes on paths before using it ?

in any case if you require help from the community please don't filter data to only the error message.

the error message is the consequence and the origin is generaly above this message.

first of all: copy paste the output window into an attached  text file would be simpler than a big jpeg.

                2) when you are facing error it is preferable to have the complete executed command displayed. please set ON the verbose output into edit>preferences>project

                3) the error message is not the one you mentoned into your post on July 5

                4) attolcc1 does not raise any error here. the message from attolcc1says it did not find code to instrument in this file that's all.

                5) the uniq error I can see is the linker saying 'illegal input' meaning you have an error into the command line. But since you do not see the command line (because of verbose is not set (see 2)) you cannot understand your error.

last but not least: why did you exclude add.c from the build ? is it included into your PTU ?

if not you cannot test a method if you do not include it into your executable. Don't you think ?

                    Hi ArjunJ,

Are you part of the same team of yasmeenk ?

Are you using the same TDP ?

Are you using CCS3 as well ?

Does your question follow the question thread above ?

If not please open a new thread to avoid confusion.
