Pinned topic Conversion of Strong Data Types to Generic String Types in V11 JAX-WS WSDL

‏2014-07-02T17:25:37Z |

We recently noticed that all of the new v11 JAX-WS WSDL's have no strong types in their XSD's--everything is a string more or less.   This created an issue for us with what were previously DateTime fields in V9--those fields were populated with an XML Date format, e.g. YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS.FFFFFFZ   Now, they are being populated with a ISO Date format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.ffffff with no time zone information or "T" separator.    Most of our clients that depend on treating this value as a datetime datatype are broken by this change.

Has anyone else had this issue?   Are there any workarounds?

Thanks,

Ian
