Pinned topic SocketKeepAliveParameters log message

‏2013-10-28T17:36:27Z |

Hi,

We have upgrade to JRE 6 SR 14.  We were previously at JRE 6 SR 10.  We noticed in our log files a com.ibm.net.SocketKeepAliveParameters message, for example

03:05:31 Logging Manager                          > LGM00010I: Console logging has been started for INFO level messages
03:05:31 Logging Manager                          > LGM00010I: UI Console logging has been started for INFO level messages
com.ibm.net.SocketKeepAliveParameters
03:05:34 Logging Manager                          > LGM00010I: Database logging has been started.

Any idea what is causing this and how to prevent this from being in the logs?

Thanks, Rayne

    Hi Rayne,

I suspect it's some test code that has escaped the lab. There won't be anything you can do about except open a PMR to point this out.

You didn't mention the platform for which this is happening. For z/OS at least I found a lot of DB2 related PMRs that show this spurious line appearing, and an APAR that might have involved some test code in this area.

Update: The problem was due to DB2 9.7 when loading the driver.  Updating to fix pack 6 or 7 solves the problem.
