Pinned topic Rest API JUnit and coach view

‏2013-07-12T10:35:17Z |

Hello,

I tried to use JUnit to automate my BPM application as described in the article:

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/bpm/bpmjournal/1212_olivieri/1212_olivieri.html

That does not work with coach view version 8 when trying to retrieve the button lists.

Indeed, with the previous coach mechanism, the rest API "start Task" returns the action list as exploited in the example:

            JSONArray buttons = startDetails.getJSONObject("data")
                    .getJSONObject("return").getJSONObject("actions")
                    .getJSONArray("str");
            btns = new String[buttons.length()];
            for (int i = 0; i < buttons.length(); i++) {
                String buttonName = buttons.getString(i);
                btns[i] = buttonName;
            }

With the new coach view, the start task rest api does not provide the button lists.

Is there any way of retrieving the button list with rest APIs?

Thanks for the help

    Unfortunately in their wisdom the developers of the coach views seem to have completely ignored the REST api at this time.  As such the REST API can provide you with no details about the implementation of a Coach View.  It really sucks in that regard.
