Pinned topic Process Designer 8.0.1 hangs at logon screen

‏2013-07-03T13:16:25Z |

After successfull installation of IBM BPM std v8.0.1(typical installation, process center) on windows 7 professional OS.

When trying to logon to Process designer, it hangs while authenticating. Pls see attached screenshot. I am able to logon to process admin console, process center etc...

Dont see any errors in Process center logs.

Noticed there is a log file under C:\IBM\ProcessDesigner\v8.0\workspace\.metadata. Following is the content of this log.

Any pointers in resolving this much appreciated, Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

I don't see any problem here yet.

Try to use debug level and reproduce your problem/

    http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21611598

BTW, no any dump files in the PD folder? May be, OOM?

I dont see any dump files in the PD folder.

On looking at the link provided, it refers to ae.log file from the IBM Process Designer installation directory. But i dont seem to find one anywhere under PD installation directoy. Is it applicable for 8.0.1 version? If not what is the log file for PD 8.0.1

    Following is the eclipse.ini file:

    -install
    file:.
    -configuration
    configuration
    -name
    IBM BPM
    -consoleLog
    -dir
    ltr
    -clean
    -vm
    ./AppClient/java/jre/bin/javaw.exe
    -vmargs
    -Xms1024m
    -Xmx1024m
    -XX:PermSize=128m
    -XX:MaxPermSize=512m
    -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStoreType=PKCS12
    -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStore=./etc/key.p12
    -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword=WebAS
    -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStoreType=PKCS12
    -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=./etc/trust.p12
    -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword=WebAS
    -Dcom.ibm.CORBA.ConfigURL="file:resources/sas.client.props"
    -Dcom.ibm.CORBA.FragmentSize="0"
    -Dcom.ibm.SSL.ConfigURL="file:resources/ssl.client.props"
    -Djava.security.auth.login.config="file:resources/wsjaas_client.conf"
    -Djava.naming.factory.initial=com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory
    -Dcom.ibm.bpm.processcenter.url=http://localhost:9080
    -Djava.ext.dirs="./AppClient/java/jre/lib/ext;./AppClient/lib;./AppClient/plugins"
    -Dcom.lombardisoftware.core.TWEnvironment.environmentName=AUTHORING_ENVIRONMENT
    -DentityExpansionLimit=2147483647

Note: IF i try to give a wrong username/password login immediately fails and comes back with error message. So communication to Process center seems to happen. But with right credentials, it logon says Authenticating... and just stays there without opening the PD.

    Yes.

Do you run PD as Administrator? (Have you full rights on PD folder?)

Did you try starting PD under debug log level as described?
