Pinned topic Installing Additional Licences on Linux

‏2013-09-11T23:02:51Z | install instructions license linux

When the licence server has been installed on Linux using the installation manager and during installation a .upd with 1 licence was used... When a second licence has been purchased and needs to be added the the license server (making 2 available) what are the steps to add the license in the second .upd to the pool of available licences?

    Hi Lan,

    Thank you for your post.

Please follow below steps to add the second license key file to your license server,

    1. Log into Rational License Key Center (RLKC)

2, Generate the second license key with the same host information.

    3. Download license file from RLKC, which will include all licenses (first + second license) in it.

4, Use the new license file .upd to replace your old license file in license server.

Please feel free to let us know if you need further assistance.

    Best regards,

    Hello Ian,

Adding to Yuki Kakuda reply to your post, to complete STEP 4( that is to import the new upd license file ), you will have to either run Installation Manager( if RLKS v8.1.3 is installed on Linux ) or  license_setup script(if RLKS v8.1.2 is installed on Linux )

Please let me know if you have additional questions.
