‏2013-06-27T06:23:28Z |

I am fresher in DB2 iseries Database and try to connect .Net framwork with the DB2 iseries Database, but every time I got the exception :

An unexpected exception occurred.  Type: System.DllNotFoundException, Message: Unable to load DLL 'cwbdc.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)."}

My Query is :

1. How to connect .Net framework(using C# ) with DB2 iseries Database ?
2. What  are software needed for this requirement ( My PC having Windows 7 OS, visual studio 2010 and DB2 Database in another server) ?

    Have you review the options in this Redbook?  If you're trying to use the .NET Entity Framework support, then you'll need to use DB2 Connect .NET provider.

    There's not a public download site for the iSeries Access for Windows software.  You'll need to contact your system operations teams to get the iSeries Access installation CD or install if off the IBM i server.
