Pinned topic Performance difference between different DB2 API

‏2013-09-08T02:48:48Z |

I am developing Visual C++ program to access DB2 database. I check the following doc:

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/db2luw/v9/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.db2.udb.apdv.ms.doc%2Fdoc%2Fc0006745.htm

and find there are so many options for my C++ program to access the database, mainly 4 of them:

1. Embed static and dynamic SQL statements in your applications

2. Code DB2 Call Level Interface (DB2 CLI) function calls in your applications to invoke dynamic SQL statements.

3. ADO/OleDB

4. ODBC

I just wonder if I need to insert a large volume of data, will there be big difference between these 4 APIs? Also for support to native DB2 data type, such as DATALINK, will these four APIs have some differences?

Thanks
