I'm not sure if it's correct forum, but I'll try to post it here.


ClassNotFoundException: in eclipse error log. Full stacktrace below

Steps to reproduce:

1. download & install latest eclipse ee juno sr2

2. install from eclipse market place "IBM Websphere Application Server v7.0 Developer Tools"

3. Create any ee project, i.e. utility project

4. rclick on project/properties


I've made some research and discovered that there is a missing dependency for

If you install "WAS v8.5.5 developer tools" in another eclipse folder, manually copy this jar into eclipse/plugins with "WAS v7.0 developer tools", this error does not occur anymore.


Please add this dependency for "WAS v7.0 developer tools"

    Hi Sergey,

    Confirmed.  Reproducible with WAS 7 developer tools.  Not reproducible with WAS 8.5.5 developer tools.  I will open a bug for this.
