Pinned topic HS22: Problem communicating with BSMP

‏2013-07-31T08:59:09Z |
Hi experts,

I shutdown one blade and get an error

I tried to reseat but the problem persists.

I search service processor firmware(a.k.a. IMM) but all files are OS dependent.

It seems that I can update blade firmware but what files should I update? Most importantly, how do I solve this issue? This blade is totally fine before shutdown. PS: I have updated AMM to the latest:

SN#YK12900250WZ     AMM firmware     BPET64C     CNETCMUS.PKT     05/29/2013

Normally, this is not something a firmware flash will fix.  Unless you recently changed the environment and your current rev is way down.  When did you go to 64C on the AMM?

If a reseat of the blade doesn't clear it, the BSMP is normally fried and needs to be replaced.

    Hi Josh,

Sounds like you are going to need a new motherboard in that blade.
