Pinned topic Installing Linux with the IBM Installation Toolkit ver.5.1

‏2012-02-17T16:06:47Z |
 Hi,

I am trying to install RedHat on a partition using a "virtual" DVD drive served off one of my VIO servers (with the downloaded ISO image). Booting partition via SMS starts LINUX, I have to answer a lot of questions, accept the license and at the end all fails -  telling me to insert the first disk of RedHat 5 enterprise disk....? Any idea what is wrong?

thanks,

Mark

     Hi Mark.

This is the expected behavior, you need RHEL disks to get this Linux distribution installed by IBM Installation toolkit.

    Thanks,
    Anibal.

Thanks Anibal, we just ordered a copy of RH media so as soon as it arrives I will know how to proceed.
