Pinned topic RPT RQM Integration using command line

‏2013-12-17T15:16:56Z |

Hello Team,

Can we execute RPT test scripts uploaded to RQM using command line.

If yes, then what would be steps to configure. I am able to start Adapter using command line but facing issues while executing using RQM adapter.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Rohit

Hi, I havent done this, I dont have a RQM enviroment

But I'm thinking a RQM test is still a test.

Found this link on the jazz.net forum

    https://jazz.net/forum/questions/129957/rqm-command-line-execution

I've set up an ANT environment recently for another product, RIT, and can give some tips if needed

As always thanks again Paul for your swift response.

I went through the Url you mentioned above but I am not getting any help.

From Command promt I am able to start RQMAdapter.bat and its connecting successfully. But still I am clueless on RQM RPT integration using command line.

    Thanks,

    Rohit

    Hi Rohit,

When you mention Command Line, are you referring to starting the adapter via command line or running RPT tests itself using command line and not opening the RPT workbench?

If it is the former, then since the RQMAdapter.bat is running and connecting successfully, I am assuming you have already included the workspace location in the adapter.config file.

In RQM , you would need to be in the https://hostname:9443/qm/web/console/ProjectArea

and then click on Construction -- > Import Test Scripts

Select Rational Performance Tester from the drop down against Script type

    Select

    Hi Santh,

    Thanks for your response.

Actually, the requirement was to execute RPT scripts uploaded in RQM using command promt for silent execution which can be executed by using "RQM Command Line Execution Tool".

By using the below command I am able to execute RQM test scripts using command line.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\RQMExecutionTool>java -jar RQMExecutionTool.jar -tcerId=7440 -projectName="Sandbox" -publicURI=https://rqm.*******/qm -userid=TestId-exitOnComplete=True -printResultUrl=True

**note- Start the RQM Adapter first before executing the above command.

Also, Please refer the link below for RQM Command Line Execution tool

    Thanks,

    Rohit
