Pinned topic Item not moving out of Success Step

‏2013-11-08T08:37:21Z |

Hi,

In our workflow, the item is moving successfully from one step to the next step. At the last step ("SUCCESS" step), the item gets stuck and does not move at all. Item moves to the "SUCCESS" step from 1 previous step only. We do not have any in/out scripts on the SUCCESS step. There is no error log in the workflow/ exception/ custom logs.

We are on MDM Collaboration Server version 11.

Please suggest.

Thanks,

Lalit

    Hello, Lalit.

    There can be no exceptions in logs, if you have custom postprocess on source catalog and, for example, a error loglevel on custom logs and that custom code catches exceptions with debug logging.

    Review your item collabHistory and it seems that you will see a failed checkin event with description of happened error.

      Hi,

      Thanks for the reply. The items are moving from the collaboration area to catalog after unknown time. Sometimes the item moves to the catalog after 2 hrs, sometimes after a day.

      Thanks,

      Lalit

        Hi Lalit,

        We have also faced similar kind of issues. Please change workflow configuration parameters for better result.

        Also, if you want to move the workflow entries manually, then you can use the following script:

        varoptions = [];

        options.add("ALL");

        var objEntry;

        var strWflName = "Workflow Name";

        var strStepName = "Success";

        var strCurrentUserName = getCurrentUserName();

        var oColArea = getColAreaByName(strWflName);

        var aEntries = oColArea.getEntriesInStep(strStepName);

        var count = 0;

        forEachEntrySetElement(aEntries,objEntry) {

        oColArea.getColAreaContainer().disableContainerProcessingOptions(options);

        var hmReturnValue = oColArea.moveEntryToNextStep(objEntry,strStepName , "SUCCESS");

        out.writeln("hmReturnValue===="+hmReturnValue);

        count = count + 1;

        }

        out.writeln(count);

        Regards,

        Pritam
