Pinned topic startrpdomain

‏2015-12-03T15:06:11Z | startrpdomain tsamp

Hello,

when we must stop / start an existing Domain, we see the phenomenon that the startrpdomain will last more then  4 minutes to complete regardless of the numbers of the Nodes. When we do this the first time e.g. when we have created a new Domain then it completes much more faster.

Any explantations for this behavior?

Regards

Ruediger

    Hello Ruediger,

we have so far not observed such a behavior. The command might take longer sometimes, but not 4 minutes.

-> What SA MP (RSCT) level is installed on your nodes ?

-> Do you see suspicious messages within the syslog for the time period the command is running (please check on all nodes in the cluster) ?

    Regards,

    Enrico

    Hello Enrico,

we are on TSAMP 4.1.0.2. But I think that our adjustment of the CommGrps could be the reason. We have defined on nearly all Clusters "/usr/sbin/rsct/bin/cthatstune -f CG1:10 -s CG1:4". This causes the delay of around 4 and a half minutes. With the defaults of "/usr/sbin/rsct/bin/cthatstune -f CG1:1 -s CG1:4" the startrpdomains succeeded in around 30 seconds.

    Regards

    Ruediger
