Pinned topic M5015 beeping

‏2013-10-27T07:42:38Z |

This problem started after I swap out a faulty drive in a RAID5 array on a M5015.

The rebuild process was successful and MSM does not show any error afterwards.

Now ever time the server is rebooted, the RAID card will start to beep beep beep continuously starting at the UEFI Platform Initialization Complete stage.

I have to manually go into MSM to silent alarm.

There is no error shown in MSM, all the arrays drives are optimum condition. IMM event log shows everything fine. Even the OS does not indicate any error.

Is there anywhere else that I can check to see what is causing the M5015 to beep ?

    Dear adventurer,

looks like bug in firmware. Now you need set RAID settings to default state, create new arrays/LUNs, install OS and restore data from backup. Or just ignore this alarm.

    Good luck,

I will rather disable the alarm.

Can't justify the time to rebuild the arrays.

It's just sad for such a bug even with a recent release (12.12.0-0133) of M5015 firmware.

      Regards.
