Pinned topic Streams 3.1 on RHEL 6.4 PPC .. libtcmalloc.so.4

‏2013-08-20T16:51:42Z |

Hello Experts ..

Successfully installed Streams 3.1 on RHEL 6.4 on pSeries. (Successful because the install

program said successful.) Now running Streams Studio, or "streamtool launch --config" and

can not make a new Streams instance.

At first got a message that a ".so" was missing from /opt/at5.0/lib64. There was no /opt/at5.0,

two comments-

. There was some pSeries specific at5.0 RPM I had to install to satisfy the Streams installer.

. The missing .so was in /lib, so I copied these contents into /opt/at5.0/lib64

Now I'm getting a message that libtcmalloc.so.4 is missing, Two comments-

. Yes, the file is no where on the hard disk.

. That file is only known for 386 32/64 bit on rpm.pbone.net.

Questions:

. Where should I get the libtcmalloc.so.4 file ?  Or, which RPM should

contain it so that I can check my OS install ISO ?

. Given my current state, or there other resources I should expect are

 missing ?

thanks in advance,

Daniel

    Sorry, typo ..

1>. The missing .so was in /lib, so I copied these contents into /opt/at5.0/lib64

    Should read, /lib64 to /opt/at5.0/lib64

The 'at5.0' in the path indicates this is one of the IBM Advanced Toolchain RPMs that are requied for Streams on PowerLinux.  Please see this article for information on the download location and install instructions:

    http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21643806

Also see the section " Installing RPMs for the Advance Toolchain compiler"   documented here:

    Did  dependency_checker.sh show the following?:

    * Status: CORRECT VERSION - Package: advance-
    toolchain-at5.0-runtime, System Version: 5.0-7
    * Status: CORRECT VERSION - Package: advance-
    toolchain-at5.0-devel, System Version: 5.0-7
      ....
    * Status: CORRECT VERSION - Package: advance-
    toolchain-at5.0-selinux, System Version: 5.0-7

    Hello Experts ..

FMCC perhaps. Previously I had installed 5.07 of the AT toolkit. With Stan's post,

I installed 5.10 and all was well, problem solved.

    sincerely,

    Daniel
