Pinned topic Command to run column analysis using iaadmin and iaJob

‏2013-05-07T08:53:30Z |

Can anyone please give the command  to run a column analysis using command line..by using iaJob as well as iaadmin,

In the documentation from what I understood they are asking to use the command -runbundle  bundleNAme. If so can you please mention how to go about creating the bundlename and run bundle.

can you explain the same with an example...............

    Re: Command to run column analysis using iaadmin and iaJob

    First for using IAAdmin here is the command to run column Analysis jobs.

    C:/IBM/InformationServer/ASBNode/bin/IAAdmin.bat -user <userName> -password <password> -host <HostName> -port <portNo> -runTasks -content <locationOfXMLfile>

    Now the contents of the xml file is explained in the docuement

    http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/iisinfsv/v9r1/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.swg.im.iis.ia.restapi.doc%2Ftopics%2Fr_restapi_start_ca.html

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
     <iaapi:Project xmlns:iaapi="http://www.ibm.com/investigate/api/iaapi"
             name="
    projectName">
       <Tasks>
         <RunColumnAnalysis>
           <Column name="BANK.BANK1.*.*"/>
           <Column name="BANK.BANK2.TABLE1.*"/>
           <SampleOptions type="every_nth" size="1000" nthvalue="10"/>
           <Schedule startDate="2010-02-09T18:56:31+01:00"
             runUntil="2010-02-15T10:00:00+01:00" nbOfInstances="10">
               <ScheduleRepeat second="0" minute="0" hour="12" dayOfMonth="*"
                                                    month="*" dayOfWeek="?" year="*"/>
           </Schedule>
         </RunColumnAnalysis>
       </Tasks>
     </iaapi:Project>

    The following options are not mandatory if we don't want to schedule.

    <SampleOptions type="every_nth" size="1000" nthvalue="10"/>
           <Schedule startDate="2010-02-09T18:56:31+01:00"
             runUntil="2010-02-15T10:00:00+01:00" nbOfInstances="10">
               <ScheduleRepeat second="0" minute="0" hour="12" dayOfMonth="*"
                                                    month="*" dayOfWeek="?" year="*"/>
           </Schedule>

    If we want run column analysis for just once column.

    following is the syntax for column name

    <Column name="BANK.BANK2.TABLE1.COLUMN1"/>

    By using these we can run column analysis from command line.

    Now for iaJob.bat

    following link has information on how to use it

    http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/iisinfsv/v9r1/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.swg.im.iis.ia.schedule.doc%2Ftopics%2Fdq_command_line_interface.html

    Now the command to run is

    iaJob  -user
    username -password
    password  -isHost
    hostname -port
    port_number
    -runBundle locationOfBundle

    and the following link has some more information for creation of bundle.

    http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/iisinfsv/v9r1/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.swg.im.iis.ia.schedule.doc%2Ftopics%2Fdq_external_scheduler.html

    It is given for data rule bundle. You can follow the same steps for column analysis as well.

    Scheduling remains same for column analysis and data rules as well.

    thanks,
