Pinned topic BCH and JS12 Mismatch

‏2013-07-10T19:50:45Z |

Hi there,

We have a Bladecenter S with a JS12 Blade and works properly on this cfg:

   - BCS: 2 SAS Raid Controller modules

   - JS12: 41Y8581 IBM Ethernet 4GB Expansion Card CFFH and IBM 39Y9188 39Y9187 BladeCenter SAS Expansion Card CFFV

Recently we get a BCH 8852 HC1 with 44X1925 Brocade 10-port 8Gb SAN Switch Module for IBM BladeCenter and tried to move JS12 to this BC. We get a mismatch:

Blade 7 - SN#YL11W9251012: I/O Compatibility Details  Help

How do we need to proceed to avoid this?

   Thank you in advance!!

If you plan to use the Fibre Channel on that blade, you need to replace the SAS daughter card with a FC card.  If you don't plan to use it, you can ignore that Mismatch error or pull the SAS card out of the blade.

Thanks Josh!, without the SAS module mismatch went away =)

But yes, the main idea is to connect blade with FC resources, like storage and a library.... so i need FC.

Do you know some module compatible with brocade switch?
