Pinned topic IPP / CUPS in AIX

‏2013-05-02T13:46:08Z | cups

I have a requirement to support "IPP (Internet Printing Protocol)" at AIX servers. As per the research I did, AIX print subsystem does not support IPP. Any one has experience with CUPS or any other software that can provide "IPP" at AIX servers?

Wow, four years and no answer. I have the same understanding of AIX support of IPP. There are more expensive options such as Infoprint Manager from Ricoh that provides a gateway support for IPP.

I have a similar requirement. Client wants to encrypt the print data from an AIX server to an HP LaserJet. Interested in if anyone has done this in AIX.

We have cups, cups-ipptool packages in AIX Toolbox.

Just follow this document for encryption of print data --> https://www.cups.org/doc/network.html
