The WEF samples are available on the WEF Wiki at:

    http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/pfwiki.nsf/dx/Web_Expereince_Factory_Samples_Categorized

If you've tried the portlet communication samples there and are still having issue or do not understand part of it, then could you describe in more detail which part you're having trouble understanding or getting to work?

      Hi Mike,

i have attached my sample what i was trying plz hav a look at it and correct it

my aim is to pass text input value from source to target using property broker action.but i could not succeed and i don't see the value is passed though i use the cooperative source ,target builders and event handler in the target portlet..i don't understand where i was going wrong...

i want to know how cooperative source and target builders can be used for inter portlet communication in a practical way in WEF...

the sample in the wiki shows only cooperative source and target builders but nt clear like what more are required when we use these builders.

u can plz mail me to me this id  the modified sample shanthin84@gmail.com

I haven't had and don't have time to try it out at the moment, but on a quick glance a the source model, I saw both a Cooperative Source builder and a Link builder pointing at the same page element, which seems wrong.    When you tell Cooperative Source that you want it to generate a link, it'll do it for you, so you don't need to use a Link builder (if you choose Action instead, it'll just generate an action and then you have to do the extra work of adding a Link or Button to do the action).

Typically,  you use Cooperative Portlet Link over a table column that already has a value, so that value becomes the link you click on.   Your page element had no value text, so there was nothing to click on there.  Try adding the text Click Me  inside the span in your source page.

Then,  after redeploying the WAR (you need to redeploy a WAR when you add Cooperative Portelt builders so that it'll generate the jsr286 event information into the WAR's portlet.xml  that the portal reads on deployment, so it knows which events can be wired together.

Then check portlet.xml in the deployed WAR to make sure it defines the event at the bottom of portlet.xml and that the source portlet declares that it sends that event and the target portlet declares that it receives that event, in the portlet.xml

        I hope that info helps,

Then, make sure you can wire the source and target portlet events together with the portal's event wiring tool (not WEF specific - this is provided by portal).    If you cannot wire the portlets together with the portal's wiring tool, then it's likely the WAR wasn't deployed with the correct event info in portlet.xml.   After you wire them together, save the page and go back to view mode and you should be able to click on the link.
