Pinned topic SYSTABLES and No-DDS PF

‏2014-07-25T11:16:38Z |

Hi,

I started a process of reverse engineering and documenting (with CA Erwin) my DB2 for i database.

I'm using,  for this step, Erwin Reverse Engineering options and the System i Navigator's Generate DDL features.I think that both are using SYSTABLES Catalog information.

I check the object list that the two software reversed and I saw that PF created without DDS are not in the Table List, also if we can use them with SQL SELECT/UPDATE/DELETE statement.

Is this a bug or I have to expect that this kind of files are never included in the System SQL Catalog?

Program-defined files are not defined to DB2, thus they are not tracked in the DB2 Catalog.
