Pinned topic Using a Custom Editor

‏2019-02-07T15:07:52Z | editor

I'm considering options for a custom text editor in WCM (8.5) and would appreciate suggestions.

Specifically, I'm looking for one with a "Track Changes" capability. We have a couple of departments who would really like to have this functionality when they draft changes to their content.

The old (but now deprecated) Ephox EditLive editor had this capability. Textbox.io does not.

So I'm looking for suggestions. I see that it is possible to "re-install" the EditLive editor - should I consider this? Or is there another text editor with the "Track Changes" functionality that might work better? I know that at least one reason why the EditLive editor was deprecated was that it requires Java, which most browsers no longer support. Is there maybe one that doesn't use Java but has what I'm looking for?

Thanks for any help that can be provided.

Thank you, Jim! I'll look into it.
