Pinned topic Documentation for event integration via ECM SM Database access

‏2014-02-27T01:37:53Z |

Hello,

I read on "ECM SM Event Forwarding" document about the passive way to integrate ECM SM events, for instance using IBM ITM ODBC.

Is there a documentation with ECM SM database schema/tables ?

Thanks,

Carlos.

    Carlos,

inside the User's Guide, Appendix B shows a Database Tables Overview.

Another valuable function can be found in the ECM SM GUI, server configuration console, using the drop down menu in the Target / Plug-In List view. The entry "Show events query" displays the SQL query to select all current events.

    Regards,

    Juergen

Thanks Juergen, I missed this User Guide's appendix.

About the "show events query", I'll need to re-check because my menu doesn't display this option (also export/import pluginconfiguration are missing)

    Regards,

    Carlos.

    Carlos,

Which version ECM SM are you using? Is this the same server as in the ComponentManagerStatus question (ECM SM 5.1 FP2)?

Did you change anything in user management (roles/rights) for user admin?

Please post a screenshot of the version (Help - About - Installation history).

    Regards,

    Juergen

    Hi Juergen,

Yes, it is the same system (ECM SM 5.1 FP2).

No changes made under User Management console. Is there a role/function that can be verified about this behavior ?

I opened a PMR with IBM Support about this.

    Thanks,

    Carlos.

    Carlos,

Very strange. The original ECM SM admin user got all rights that exist. I'm not at the office anymore, so I can't tell you the exact point to check. But it is very difficult to change exactly the rights for that behavior.

Are there any error messages in the GUI log (var/log/gui.0.log)?

    Regards,

    Juergen

    Hi Juergen,

Nothing in [gui.0.log], something on [gui.appsupervisor.log], however "this is probably, but not necessarily, a bug".

    Carlos,

Very strange. The original ECM SM admin user got all rights that exist. I'm not at the office anymore, so I can't tell you the exact point to check. But it is very difficult to change exactly the rights for that behavior.

Are there any error messages in the GUI log (var/log/gui.0.log)?

    Regards,

    Juergen

    Juergen,

Forget it. The options (events query / export / import) are there. I was looking on context (right-click) menu instead pull down menu.

    Regards,

    Carlos.

    Carlos,

That's good, nobody could explain this effect and was very puzzled.
