With z/TPF support for MongoDB, remote distributed systems can access the z/TPFDF databases by using the standard MongoDB clients. Standard MongoDB client libraries exist in different programming languages and graphical user interface (GUI) applications are available to access z/TPFDF databases.
Accessing z/TPFDF databases by using z/TPF support for MongoDB does not require any changes to the z/TPF applications. However, to use z/TPF support for MongoDB, the code must be built with the GCC 4.6 (version tpf-11r1-13 or later) or the Dignus Systems/C or Systems/C++ V1.98 (version 1.98.68 or later) compiler.
