On May 12th at 4pm EDT an education session will be conducted by subject matter expert Barry Goldberg regarding Dump Solving on z/TPF
Continouous Data Collection (CDC) and IBM Tivoli Monitoring Webinar
On May 30th at 4pm EDT an education session will be conducted by subject matter expert Gerald Strait regarding CDC. CDC is a TPF feature that collects TPF system performance information. IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM) is an enterprise monitoring solution. The Tivoli Monitor Agent for z/TPF is an ITM plugin, developed by the z/TPF development lab, that allows CDC data to be input into an ITM environment via a Websphere MQ transport. CDC, ITM and the Tivoli Monitor Agent for z/TPF work together to allow you to monitor your z/TPF systems, within your enterprise, in near real-time. ITM features include customizable displays of data, historical data storage and display, and alerts/situations.
Introduction to Rational Team Concert (RTC)
On June 17th at 10am EDT an education session will be conducted by subject matter experts Mohammed Ajmal and Evan Hughes regarding RTC.
RTC is a collaboration tool for software development teams which provides source control management, defect tracking and project planning capabilities. The next version of IBM TPF Toolkit provides RTC integration as an optional feature, including support for a remote development model, enabling customers to adopt RTC as part of their development process. TPF Toolkit views recognize RTC artifacts and support decorators (for example, incoming and outgoing changes) and actions seamlessly.
Join us at 10 AM on June 17, 2014 for an education session led by Evan Hughes, software developer on the RTC team and Mohammed Ajmal, technical lead of the IBM TPF Toolkit product. Evan and Mohammed will provide a brief introduction to a number of RTC features including and demo using RTC within TPF Toolkit.
z/TPFDF Overview and Concepts
On July 23rd at 4pm EDT an education session will be conducted by subject matter expert Kevin Jones regarding z/TPFDF.
z/TPFDF is the high-performance database manager for z/TPF applications. Developed over decades to meet the high performance demands of our customers, this webinar will provide an overview of basic concepts such as the database hierarchy and terminology, application programming and utilities. There will also be an overview of how z/TPFDF data can be shared with remote platforms. If desired, future classes can be scheduled that dig deeper into specific topics.
