z/TPF WebSphere® MQ dynamic routing provides the capability to have multiple channels to remote systems that are managed and monitored by the z/TPF system.
z/TPF WebSphere MQ applications still put messages to a single remote queue name, but the traffic can be balanced across multiple paths to one or more remote queue managers. This capability increases the throughput of outbound messages that are sent by the z/TPF system and provides higher availability when a failure occurs.
The z/TPF system provides intelligent load balancing across all the available channels based on the number of messages on the outbound transmission queues. In addition, the z/TPF system monitors the channel state and reroutes messages to other paths when failures occur. This capability also allows WebSphere MQ administrators to dynamically add more paths to increase throughput to remote queue managers. With z/TPF WebSphere MQ dynamic routing, application changes or outages are not required.
