I have created the Getting Started with WebSphere eXtreme Scale Wiki to educate interested folks on the architecture and technical details of WebSphere eXtreme Scale. After describing some concepts, we'll delve into the programming and API details to get you coding quickly. Ultimately, I want to develop and provide a comprehensive site on eXtreme, including its benefits, that will have a broad range of appeal and provide value to developers, architects and technical managers.
I have started on two major content areas:
The WebSphere eXtreme Scale Tutorial. These wiki pages will educate developers on the eXtreme Scale concepts, and get you coding in eXtreme Scale quickly. Samples will be included and explained, with in-depth look at code.
What can eXtreme Scale do for you? This section will high-light various use cases where eXtreme Scale provides value. Each case will be described in technical detail so its value may be readily appreciated.
There are many existing assets available to aide folks both new to and experienced with the product. The wiki will also serve to organize and point to materials found elsewhere.
Finally, the effort is undertaken in a community wiki. Your feedback, support and involvement is appreciated and encouraged. Let us know what topics you'd like to see covered, as well as feel free to contribute assets (sample code) and articles of interest to the eXtreme Scale community.
Over time, I intend to blog about recent additions to the wiki, and look forward to seeing you there!
