One of the new features in WSRR V8.5.5 is the so-called "Enhanced Details View" or EDV for short. This is a mode of the detail view widget in the Dashboard UI which gathers various aspects of a service together and shows them in a single view, with tabs.
Here is a Business Service called Account creation service being shown in the EDV:
At the top are details of the overall Business Service with a "Show more" expandy to show the rest. Then under is the versions, where Version:1.0 would show a drop down to switch to other versions. The version itself has various tabs, the Overview tab is closest to the classic view with properties and relationships shown. Note the state has been pulled into its own section, and in this view is read only because we are showing the read-only Service Catalog view. The Action menus have the same content as in V8.5.
The Interface tab shows the number of interfaces the service version has, and the Service Level Definitions and the operations on each SLD. You can easily click onto AccountCreation to see more details of the interface if you wish, or click on createAccount to see more details of the operation.
Next is the Endpoints tab, which shows the... endpoints for the service, with a handy count. Each endpoint here shows the type, environment, visibility and whether they are online or offline. Note this view is from the SOA Governance view, so the states all have drop downs next to them, from which the service, version and endpoints can be transitioned.
Now the Consumers tab shows who are the consumers of the version, here we can see that we have one active consumer (SLA state active) and one drat consumer (SLA state draft). You can click into each consumer to see details of the Service Level Agreement (SLA) or the consumer itself.
Finally there is a Consumes tab which shows the services that this service consumes, that this service is using. Here you see Account creation service is using Eligibility service version 1.0, the SLA is active so it is being used.
Given this is WSRR, the contents of each tab are configurable, so that columns shown for each tab can be controlled, as well as the properties of the Interface shown on the Interface tab, and all the properties and relationships shown on the Overview tab.
This new Enhanced Details View makes viewing services in WSRR 8.5.5 very easy and simple. We also changed the edit mode to achieve something similar when registering services...
