TAW-2116 : Intelligent Management: Enterprise Class Server Environments for Everyone
Presented by Steve Fontes, IBM and Pete Neergaard (@ibm_peten), IBM
The functions of Intelligent Management in WebSphere Application Server V8.5 were previously available as the separately licensed product "WebSphere Virtual Enterprise". The functions include amazing enterprise class capabilities such as dynamic workload management with response time goal enforcement, automatic recovery of unhealthy servers, and management of multiple concurrent application versions. These previously expensive capabilities are now available at NO extra cost. This lecture will describe how environments with high throughput requirements, high up-time requirements, or the need to update applications with no downtime, can take advantage of the functions available in WebSphere Application Server V8.5 Intelligent Management.
