Understanding E-Marketing Spots And Web Activities
In this blog article, we will understand how espot (E-Marketing Spots) are created, and configured to display marketing content using Commerce Management Center tool.

Ways of creating eMarketing spots:
Espot can be created using JSTL import tag or defining them in the layout using commerce composer tool.
This is an example of how this file could be included into a page:
The emsName unique name for eMarketing Spot, which should match exactly with an e-Marketing Spot name defined in the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator or WebSphere Commerce Management Center.

Displaying eMarketing spots:
Once you have the espot created, you can either use them to display a default content or create and schedule a web activity to display static or dynamic targeted content.
E-Marketing Spot with Default content:
Here, marketing espot named MyE-MarketingSpot is associated with DefaultContentForMySpot default content.
Web Activity driven content:
Display customize content for computer accessories category, and display default emspot content for other pages.
