Overview of WebSphere Commerce performance and stability configurations
When beginning to tune a Commerce environment it is important that you not only look at the application but also the different layers in the environment. It is critical to ensure that all layers are tuned properly. I wanted to point out a new document that we have put together that can be useful when you start tuning and or validating your environment before holiday season. Take a look at Overview of WebSphere Commerce performance and stability configurations
The idea behind this list was to ensure everyone was aware of the settings. Create a single document that could be used to find the most important settings for site stability and performance. Provide recommended initial values that should be used as a starting point when tuning a Commerce environment. Use the initial values and then determine what settings need to be changed to meet your business requirements. It can also be used as a sanity check. What I mean by this is that you can compare your current settings to what we have documented to see if your settings are poorly configured and need to be re-evaluated. This can be very useful leading into the holiday season to be able to validate your environment settings to potentially avoid issues.
