Cumulative Fix 6 is available now from the Fix Central website:
As well as many bug fixes, it includes the 'Quick Select' usability improvement.
Quick Select has been added to make it easier to select recently used and favorite items when creating and editing items. When creating new content, the authoring template with which to create the content can be selected in the ‘New’ menu. The content author’s favorite and recently used authoring templates will be available for selection.
When editing items, a dropdown list will appear next to links for selecting items. The dropdown list can be used to select recently used and favorite items. For instance, when selecting the location for a new piece of content, recently used and favorite site areas will be listed in the quick select drop down.
In addition, it’s now easier to set multiple items as your favorites, or to remove multiple items from your favorites using the new commands ‘Add to My Favorites’ and ‘Remove from My Favorites’. These can be found in the More Actions dropdown menu in the Library Explorer:
These usability improvements will make the 'favorites' feature that was introduced in WCM 7.0 even more useful, and will significantly reduce the time it takes to create and manage your web content.
