One of the big changes to IBM Lotus Web Content Management 7.0 is to the documentation itself...the biggest being that our documentation has now been added to the WebSphere Portal Family Wiki instead of being published in a separate Information Center:
This is an important change for many reasons. Firstly, it's now in a wiki - which means that the entire WCM community can contribute updates to the official documentation. Moving our documentation onto the WebSphere Portal Wiki also means that the wiki is now your one-stop shop for all your WebSphere Portal and Lotus Web Content Management documentation - Information Center, Best Practices, Samples, RedBooks, multi-media presentations - they are now all published to a single site:
You'll find our documentation on the "Product Documentation" Tab.
We also spent a lot of time restructuring the LWCM 7.0 documentation to more closely follow the tasks and process related to planning, deploying, creating and managing a LWCM system. While we are nowhere near to completing all the changes we want to make to the LWCM documentation, this is an important step in the continual evolution and improvement of our documentation.
Finally, I'd like to invite you all to participate in the Wiki. You should feel free to make changes to Wiki topics, including the product documentation. It's a Wiki afterall...that's the point to having a wiki...to allow our product community to contribute to the overall knowledge of the product...
