Greetings from Somers, NY.
It's the rare occasion I get the chance to blog from my IBM Software business' headquarters, but here I am.
I flew up to NY for some impromptu business meetings yesterday afternoon.
I flew Jet Blue, which I forgot could be such a pleasure, especially the direct from Austin to JFK.
(Check out this link for a truly hilarious social media campaign from Jet Blue offered almost exclusively online for CEO big wigs...don't worry, sir, they'll help you with the kiosk.).
I've fallen behind on tech news during my travels, although I was eagerly awaiting Applied Materials earnings (anything yet?) and saw this blog post about Microsoft making a new Zune announcement on Twitter.
So Twitter's now the official product marketing announcement platform, and intended to put FUD into the market where iPhones/Palm Pres are concerned (Tweet: "New product launch, that's all I'm allowed to say. Hold off from buying an iPhone/Pre.")?
For a new Zune? Really? Via Twitter?
Who said there wasn't something to this whole social media thing.
Apple and Palm, time to Tweet back.
