The New York Times' "Bits" blog is reporting this morning that Lotus Notes will be coming to an iPhone near you soon.
The "iNotes Ultralite" package will apparently be free to anyone with a Lotus Notes license (about 140 million at last count).
Initially, it will work as a Web-only application (for security reasons) and will require Apple's Safari browser.
By this point, anything's better than nothing.
Then again, if you've been thinking about abandoning the iPhone to get your Android on, think again.
CNET's reporting that T-Mobile's pre-order page for the HTC G1 phone indicated yesterday mid-day that even existing customers who wanted to upgrade would "have to wait a big longer."
Would that be like "Waiting for Godot" long, or something not quite so severe?
Me, I'm just excited that I got to order my mom a new PC.
This is like a once in a few years kinda thing, and because she and my dad are currently driving around the country in an RV frivolously throwing away my inheritance, I wanted to get her a little somethin' somethin' to match her nomadic lifestyle.
So, I promptly went online to the Lenovo Web site and did myself some e-commerce. (See, I ain't all about the Mac)
And I promptly bought her one of those newfangled Lenovo IdeaPad S10 "netbook" computers.
They've been hard little suckers to get due to the insane demand, but Lenovo has just put them for sale online starting at a ridiculously low $439.00 U.S.
Yes, I'll say it: At that price you can't afford not to buy one.
Also at that price, you'd better order it fast.
I called the IBM employee sales hotline at Lenovo and the guy told me the things were running out of the factory as fast as they could build 'em.
Kudos to Lenovo...now hurry up and ship the thing -- my mom's already bugging me about where's her new computer!Read More]
