This week IBM developerWorks turns 10!
A lot happened in 1999...
In 1999, I had just put in a year on releases of IBM's WebSphere Application Server (which first deleivered in 1998) as the product's development manager, contributed to IBM WebSphere Studio, and began developing IBM WebSphere Site Analyzer. After spending a few years managing development and Level 3 support on these products, I began working for IBM developerWorks in 2003.
Since 2003, I've seen the site grow its award winning content, Web 2.0 feature set, local languages, and more than double its user base from 1.8 Million to about 4 million people each month. The hosting infrastructure has grown as well, continuing to run on pSeries servers and WAS and DB2 middleware.
Happy 10th birthday developerWorks -- IT's been a great ride so far, and we're just getting started!
