Pulse 2014 – The Premier Cloud Conference
By Paul Quigley
Pulse is an annual event, with worldwide attendance from many customers, IBM Business Partners and IBM employees. ,This years’ conference promises to be better than previous years.
This year, Pulse runs from Sunday, Feb. 23rd through Wednesday, Feb. 26th. Attendees can choose between technical overviews, case studies, panel and group discussions, meet the experts, birds of a feather, general sessions, even a few receptions, and more.
How many sessions are there? Do a simple search on “cloud” and you’ll find 246 sessions. Search on “SmartCloud” and you’ll find 79 sessions. Search on “SoftLayer” and you’ll find 26 sessions.
Don’t forget to attend the Solution Expo. The Solution Expo features the newest technology initiatives and next-generation solutions offered by IBM and its Business Partners. During the Expo you can sit down with IBMers and IBM Business Partners for an in-depth conversation, talk with IBM executives and technical teams, watch live demonstrations and other presentations, or simply share experiences with peers.
That’s not all you can do at Pulse. Despite the large number of sessions, you need to make time to test drive the cloud solutions in one or more hands-on labs. There are more than 130 hands-on labs this year.
Hands-on labs provide an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand technical experience with IBM’s products and solutions. Come to the lab room at your convenience and take as many of the labs as you like. Lab exercises are self-paced and designed to take approximately 45 minutes each.
Don’t miss this opportunity even if you have no gaps in your busy session schedule. During the conference, lab hours extend beyond regular conference hours, and are even open during lunch breaks.
