Since the 2011 Tech Trends Report was released in November, the Report has been downloaded nearly 15,000 times. The press loved it, and you, the readers, seem to agree. In an unprecedented move by IBM (and likely by any organization conducting such large scale surveys), we released the raw survey data in SPSS format and invited you to do your own analysis. At least one IBM Partner, SIA, has done their own in depth analysis with the raw survey data. Additionally, Notre Dame undergraduate students has just announced they will be doing analysis on the Tech Trends data as well. We are thrilled! Stay tuned on that.
However, we know many of you don't to fire up SPSS Statistics and, yet, still want the ability to dig into the data. We brainstormed about how we can deliver detailed Tech Trends data in a user-friendly fashion. Well, we have partnered with our business analytics team to bring the Tech Trends Report to Cognos Mobile iPad application (Downloadable at the Apple App Store). The result? A highly visual and dynamic Tech Trends Report with the richness and convenience of the iPad touch screen interface.
· Detailed break down of adoption motivators and concerns

Cognos Mobile allows you to build highly dynamic and easy to use dashboards and reports. We selected data points that are most relevant to our audience and made them available in the Cognos Mobile application. Our friends at Cognos have done an excellent job incorporating the vast amount of data points into an easy-to-use touch screen iPad environment.
The Cognos team has chosen to build the Tech Trends Report as a standalone Cognos Mobile sample that operates without connecting to a Cognos BI backend. This kind of set up is ideal for on-the-go data consumption with limited to no connectivity, or for data that do not get updated after the initial load.
Thanks to the Cognos Mobile folks who worked with us to build this Report. Let us know what you think the comment section below!
