We are proud to announce the release of our new FLRT Beta website that is now available online at: http
Throughout the year, we receive invaluable feedback from our customers, and whether good or bad, each one receives focus at our weekly meetings. We also held a few sessions with users to understand how people outside of our development team use the website. All of this information was gathered and formulated to derive the basis of the new website design.
In our current design, we use a monochrome color scheme of white, black and gray. You may also notice that finding specific data or tools are difficult to locate in this design, as each is crowded into the left and ride sides of the page.
IBM began an initiative called Northstar which modernized our web standards, and with the help of our talented designers, developed a new powerful and colorful theme for IBMers to use, which you may already have seen on the IBM Support Portal and IBM Fix Central websites.
We decided to categorize our tools and data into 4 sections: Reports, Data, Scripting, and APARs. Each category is also complimented with a specific color, respectively, Blue, Red, Green, Magenta. This will help as you navigate around the website to maintain a sort of consistency.
Our Live Partition Mobility (LPM) tool also received a much improved user interface. Again, we removed redundant items, grouped elements together, and color coded the different items to show a contrast between each group.
The website is still very much in active development, as many of the feedback suggestions are still being implemented, and many user interface design elements are still being tweaked.
