I kind of miss dotconnector. He was against SPC because he felt it was too restrictive to take advantage of the non-standard caching algorithms I think EMC puts into their controllers, but seemed willing to benchmark publicly. <div>&nbsp;</div> He told us that we could run and publish our own benchmark on EMC machines, and participated in the conversation about a potential open benchmarking system where anyone can run tests as long as their config is disclosed and their results can be replicated.<div>&nbsp;</div> On that note, what we really need is a place like tom's hardware for enterprise IT. Maybe ESG could do it... They would be able to benchmark and disclose anything they want.
