My Sessions :
An All-Flash World: From Twitter to Glossy Brochures to Reality at ANZ Bank
|Monday, 12:30 PM - 1:10 PM
(Patrick Hall from ANZ Bank is the main speaker here, I'm just helping to host and introduce the session)
ANZ Bank was previously a single-vendor, traditional spinning disk array environment. In three years we have transformed to a multi-vendor, mostly flash-based environment, with the use of IBM SVC, FlashSystem 900, Storwize V7000 and other all-flash arrays. This session will discuss some of the key architectural decisions we made, challenges we have faced with third-party technologies and IBM, and the benefits that we have ultimately seen as a result of going all-flash.
IBM Data Reduction and Virtualization in the Era of Solid-State Storage
|Wednesday, 2:30 PM - 3:10 PM
Today's flash-enabled storage devices have finally propelled storage on a path forward that, like silicon, can maintain pace according to Moore's Law. This first wave of solid-state storage has opened the flood gates of performance and is changing the way we think of storage. In this session, we will discuss the role of solid-state storage (flash and beyond) and how IBM can help all industries to bring real time data reduction technologies to today's agile, on-premise, hybrid and cloud IT infrastructures. We will discuss how IBM data reduction and storage virtualization can help to reduce infrastructure costs while future-proofing your storage strategy.
Executive Briefing Center
There will be an executive briefing center available throughout the conference, so if you want to speak with a Subject Matter Expert on a given topic, register your interest and request a time via the EBC booking tool here. I'm down as an SME for Spectrum Virtualize, so if you want to discuss anything or pick my brains, feel free to grab some time 1:1 with me.
Systems Technical University - Orlando April 30th
I will also be attending and presenting several sessions at the TechU in Orlando, more about this later, but for now, here is the sign up link
