Well this is a story that almost slipped by unnoticed, but there is some very interesting information in this 14 page report from Tolly, commissioned by IBM.
The bottom line is this:
- Proven backplane throughput in excess of 400 Gbps compared with a maximum, theoretical throughput for Cisco UCS of 160 Gbps
- Intelligent, integrated networking architecture optimized for "east/west" traffic
- Predictable and consistent performance across the range of network loads tested
- Completed VM migration tasks up to 2.5 times faster than Cisco UCS
