Duration: 90 minutes
Abstract: Please join us on July 26 at 12 noon ET for a 90 minute session to learn about the latest TS4500 R3 features of our Next Generation High Density tape library and the latest TS7700 R4 enhancements including the Next Generation Controller the TS7760. You will first hear details about the latest enhancements as part of the TS4500 R3.0, which includes increased performance and availability with dual robotic accessors, support for TS7700 attachment and flexible growth options with new x track design. The second half of the session will cover the new TS7760 and its associated R4 code level. Learn about how the TS7760 Model VEC features IBM POWER8® server technology to help support high performance, how the disk cache repository is formatted using Distributed Disk Pools (DDP) to support higher availability and faster rebuild times, and how the TS4500 Tape Library and TS1150 Tape Drives are now supported for optional tape-attached partitions for up to 100 PB of usable storage per TS7760. Finally, coexistence with and migration from existing TS7720 and TS7740 systems will be discussed as well. Each topic will be followed by Q&A.
