In response to: Confession 23: Who buys green? Who builds green IT?Thanks for the links.
My father is a farmer and was a mathematical lecturer too. I have seen (even now) all sorts of vegetables in our garden and we just would go and pluck them when needed. Now I have moved to city for the sake of job and can really feel the pinch when I have to buy those vegetables.. not for the money sake but for the freshness and organic sake.In fact until recent I was not aware of this "Organic" word in the food field (Of course I had this subject when studying chemistry :)
Back in my village, we have this water stream which goes dry in the summer and every farmer in that area suffers water scarcity during summer. My dad being a maths guy, always applies those thoughts when in field. He got this small temporary water dam done next to our farm. This helps the water levels at the near by wells and ponds to go up and also helps to survive in the summer time. Rain water harvesting is one thing every one practices out there.
