Check out this interesting YouTube clip with its stats on the exploding use of social media. I find that I'm transitioning out of questioning whether Facebook, Twitter, blogs, blog commenting, etc. are useful or just a distraction, into seeing that I just need to learn how to manage my use of them more effectively. This is the way the world talks and shops now. Local is still there too, but the phone and email and snailmail are more marginalized every day.
