I enjoyed jumping off of things when I was younger. I jumped off of our house, practicing my tuck and roll. I jumped my bike off of things -- plywood ramps in particular. I jumped off of a galloping horse one time. OK, fell off. And there was a time when I really wanted to jump out of an airplane and skydive. The opportunity did not present itself and the desire has now passed. Falling ten stories in one of the Elevator of Doom rides at a big amusement park really was the beginning of the end of my desire to jump off of things. But seeing someone bungie or skydive in exotic settings is still thrilling.
Fearless Felix Baumgartner is da man when it comes to jumping off of things. He jumped off of the Christ Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, the Millau Viaduct in France, and the tallest building in the world in Taiwan. Next -- a 120,000 foot skydive in a pressure suit and breaking the sound barrier. It will eclipse the amazing record of Joseph Kittinger, that has stood for 50 years, by almost 4 miles. It's all your's, Fearless.
