This week on developerWorks
To automatically download and synchronize files to play on your computer or your portable audio player (e.g., iPod), you'll need to use a podcast client. iPodder is a free, open source client for Mac OS X, Windows®, and Linux®. You can also use iTunes, FeedDemon or any number of alternatives available on the Web.
After you download and install your podcasting software, add a developerWorks podcast feed or channel. Instructions for adding channels vary depending on the podcasting software you choose, but typically, they go like this:
1) Identify the podcast channel that you wish to subscribe to. Available channels for developerWorks are listed in the table below. Right-click the link or RSS image for the podcast channel and select Copy shortcut or Copy link location.
2) In your podcast software, select "Add a new feed."
3) Paste the podcast channel link and click "Save."
Of course, you can always just listen to them as a streaming file on our podcast page as well.
