Rain and lighting descended upon the RSDC welcome reception by the pool at the Disney Swan and Dolphin hotel last evening. The Swan and Dolphin are actually two massive hotels (over 2000 rooms total) joined by a beautiful walkway and man-made beach. Anyway, developers are a hearty and resilient breed, and a little rain and lighting is not going to stop them, right? People hid under some awnings and tents, ate their swan and dolphin burgers (I think it was beef, actually), and carried right on with their conversations. As soon as the rain stopped -- 45 minutes later -- they were right back out in the open. It was an inspiring sight.
As for podcasting, we'll be busy this week, posting keynotes later today, Tuesday, and Thursday by the likes of Danny Sabbah, Lee Nackman, Erich Gamma, John Wiegand, Martin Nally, and Buell Duncan, as well as casual interviews with presenters and maybe some attendees. You'll find it all here
